The Yamaha recorder is generally available in most countries. The Peter Worrell Parts Package This is available for sale for £30.00GBP plus postage. £10.00 of this cost is donated to OHMI . Please contact me for availability. This parts included are as follows. 8 x M2.5 rod screws for the pivots for the key axles. Neoprene foam pads Stainless steel springs cut to length. 0.6 diameter. Carbon fibre rods cut to length. All 3.0mm diameter. 3 x 49.00 length 1 x 107.00mm length. Paper washers for padding. End float brass gauge. PTFE tape for tenons. 3D Printer with wash station and curing station. I use an Elegoo Saturn 3D printer. The curing and wash station is also made by Elegoo. There are many 3D resin printers on the market. This size of printer allows multiple pieces to be postioned on the print plate. Please note that I have designed the components to fit on some of the smaller printers. Drills and reamers The 2.00mm diameter extended drill and the extended M2.5 tap were purchased as standard items form Amazon. The 1.8 diameter drill is a standard length drill also purchased from Amazon. The 0.65mm diameter drill is not available from any sources that I have found in the UK. It is possible to buy a standard 0.65mm diameter drill and extend it. This is a well known technique for instrument repairers and makers. If you are experiencing trouble with this tool, I can make a short video explaining the method. The 3.00mm diameter machine reamer and countersink burr is also available from Amazon. This can be a standard length. Mini Lathe or Bench chuck Mini lathes are very useful for this type of project. A Bench Chuck is an invaluable tool for the maker who wants to make several instruments.
I can give you the 3D print files for an FDM printer to make the body(black), the pulley wheel(red) and the motor block (green). You will have to obtain a suitable motor and chuck. You will also have to make the spindle specifically for your chuck. I use brass as it is easy to machine. Please contact me if you would like further advice about a bench chuck. General tools A small hammer Good quality screwdriver (jewellers set is suitable). Flat nose pliers. Thin super glue. Spring pushing pliers. You may have difficulty obtaining these pliers, but you can make these. I made a video for a maker about removing and fitting springs a while ago.
