Printing This is my set up for 3D printing. A dedicated space is ideal but not necessary. Please be aware that resin printers can be a bit smelly! The isopropanal cleaner is quite strong.
If you are familiar with the software for placing the supports then it is possible to place the supports in a position so that they can be removed cleanly without the need for further cleaning of the body. The exception is the foot joint. This does require a few more supports to stop it lifting from the build plate when printing. Experimenting is key. If you need to file or sand the pieces then that is not a problem. I use 400 grit wet and dry paper. The surface that is left after sanding can look a little powdery. I have found that if you apply a tiny amoungt of silicone grease to the area and then wipe it off, the area you have sanded blends in very well. I have only experimented with Elegoo resins for this project. There is a myriad of resins available. You may find one that works for you, your machine and the conditions you are printing in. The resin I have had the most success with is the Elegoo 3.0 like ABS resin. This is not as brittle as the original Elegoo resin. This makes it easier to tap drill the pillars(supports) and also tap them with the M2.5 tap without breaking off. Below is a screenshot of the orientation that I have found to be most successful.
Please note that you do not need to support the toneholes and there should be no supports on the inside of the bore. I have calculated that the resin will shrink by a small amount and I have adjusted the bore to take this into account. There should be no need to sand or emery the bore to get the correct size. Please note that the files for the 2 sections for the body are Right and Left Handed. There is lettering on the top section of the body to denote this(LH or RH). The file for the foot joint is for a Right Hand instrument. This can be mirrored in the software to obtain the Left Hand model. The files for the keys are modelled for a Right Hand instrument. These can be mirrored in the software to obtain the Left Hand keys.
